Tolerance Thresholds
Whilst we all want to know when the website or server is down, we only want to know when there is a 'real' problem and not some random routing error that vanishes after 30 seconds. CheckMyBox has a fully customisable tolerance threshold based around the monitoring interval that has been selected for the site in question.
For example, a site with a 1 minute monitoring interval could have a 5 minute tolerance threshold, which means that after CheckMyBox has confirmed the site is down via the robots, the site is checked by different robots until 5 minutes have passed. Naturally if the site is still down after the threshold, the notification system kicks into action.
Of course, you are free to choose your own tolerance threshold via the control panel. You can be notified instantly if you wish!
Tolerance Example
| Monitoring Interval | Tolerance | Maximum Notification After... |
| 1 Minute | 5 | 6 Minutes |
| 2 Minutes | 5 | 7 Minutes |
| 5 Minutes | 10 | 16 Minutes |
| 10 Minutes | 2 | 12 Minutes |
| 15 Minutes | 5 | 15 Minutes |
